How do root trainer pots work?
The inside is designed with vertical, raised root trainer ridges running down the inside of the pot. These help avoid roots circling the pot (which would create thinner, weaker roots), and instead send roots deeper into the pot, which encourages thicker, stronger roots with more branches for better water and nutrient uptake which benefits the entire plant.

Materials
I would describe these pots as translucent rather than perfectly clear. Still plenty clear enough to easily judge moisture level and root health, but slightly frosted. That's because they are made of a blend of recycled and new plastic and are fully recyclable. They are also UV stable so unlike most clear pots made for indoor use, these can be used and reused outdoors.
Drainage
I love the drainage these pots offer. Far better than most mini pots that also have mini holes! The large mesh-style drainage holes gets excess water on the move (also making these better for outdoor use exposed to the elements to avoid waterlogged, rotting roots). Great for improved airflow also.
